Development and Manufacturing Technologist

A Development and Manafacturing Technologist is a specialist who focuses on processes and procedures related to the production of physical products. Their primary goal is to ensure that production is efficient, of high quality, and economically viable. Production technologists play a crucial role in industrial sectors and manufacturing operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyses production processes to identify potential improvements and optimisations. This may involve assessing the efficiency of machinery, assembly procedures, and raw material consumption.
• Participates in the design of production processes for new products or enhancements to existing manufacturing procedures. Increasing emphasis is placed on sustainability.
• Ensures that products meet established quality standards, specifications, and safety parameters.
• When implementing new production processes or technologies, they may be involved in project management and the coordination of various teams and stakeholders.
• Conducts cost analyses associated with production, including expenses related to materials, labour, energy, and other factors.
• Collaborates with other teams such as engineers, developers, and other product manufacturing experts to ensure a coordinated production process
