TPM - Total productive maintenance

Course objectives

Participants will be introduced to the principles of TPM methodology in order to increase equipment performance. They will gain knowledge about the process of implementation of all elements of the TPM concept. They will get acquainted with the procedures used for evaluation and machine capability and reliability increase. The knowledge gained during the training should improve communication with the production department,  machines capability as well as the planning process of preventive maintenance based on the technical condition of the machine. The implementation of TPM changes the company culture. 

Course content

• Introduction to TPM and the process of implementation of TPM in the company, maintenance strategy and job description of TPM coordinators.
• Maintenance and work planning, definition of maintenance plans, preventive and predictive maintenance
• Indicators (OEE - overall equipment efficiency, (MTBF - mean time between failures, MTTR - mean time to recover, MTR - mean time to repair) and maintenance reports
• Maintenance quality requirements, maintenance quality matrix, cause and consequence analysis, data collection and preparation for machine and process capability assessment
• Evaluation of the ability of machines and equipment (Cm, Cmk) during the installation of machines, after repair, after a change of assortment
• Setting of the machine during sorting, after repair, start of production to the required ability index of machines, processes (Cp, Cpk, Cm, Cmk)
• Setting the preventive maintenance interval based on the pre-defined indicators
• Identification of waste in maintenance processes, PDCA and DMAIC improvement cycle, lean maintenance, steps to minimize equipment repair time, maintenance safety
