Core Tools IATF for automotive industry

Course objectives

The aim of the course is to acquaint participants with the basic tools of the so-called "core tools" most frequently used and required by OEMs in the automotive industry in accordance with the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard and subsequent AIAG / VDA manuals. During the training, participants will acquire basic knowledge of these methodologies and acquire the necessary, basic qualifications. Automotive companies are required to master and be able to properly apply in their core business processes these key tools in accordance with IATF 16949 and specific manuals, which relate to both advanced product quality planning & the creation of a control plan (APQP / Control plan), the approval process parts production (PPAP), analysis of possible failures, failures, critical errors and their consequences (FMEA), statistical process control (SPC) and measurement systems analysis (MSA).

Course content

• IATF 16949 requirements for the use of "core tools" quality tools and subsequent specific AIAG / VDA manuals 
• Basic explanation of procedures, definitions and key requirements of the APQP / Control plan
• Basic explanation of the 18th key requirements of PPAP, basic levels of PSW submission to the customer, required outputs
• Basic concept of FMEA in the sense of the new harmonized manual AIAG / VDA, 5T in the creation of FMEA, explanation of the methodology of 7 steps in the creation of FMEA analysis during product and process development and design, the difference between Process FMEA and Design FMEA
• Basics of using MSA measurement system analysis methodology, MSA types (variable, attributive), sources of measurement variability, Gauge R&R measurement system, measurement accuracy, precision (repeatability = Equipment variation EV Repeatability and reproducibility = Appraiser variation AV Reproducibility), procedures for verifying the accuracy of measuring instruments , attributive test of measuring system
• Basics of using statistical control of SPC processes, basic concepts in SPC, analysis of process and equipment capability - impact of long-term and short-term data, calculation and interpretation of process capability indices Cp, Cpk, Ppk and capability indices of Cmk machines
• Final qualification test
