SWOT Analysis

Course objectives

Provide information on SWOT analysis and its implementation in the company. SWOT analysis is a basic strategic tool used to analyse the external and internal views of the company. The workshop is focused on the correct use of the method in society. During the workshop, participants will learn how to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company and how to identify opportunities and threats from the external environment. The use of SWOT analysis is also related to fulfillment of the EN ISO 9001 standard and its use in opportunities and risk identification.

Course content

• Explanation of the purpose of SWOT analysis, concepts and abbreviations
• Identification of key strengths and weaknesses of the company - internal factors
• Identifying opportunities and threats to the company's external environment - external factors
• Use of inputs needed for analysis (use of financial analysis, value chain analysis, analysis of resources, trends and competitive position of the company)
• How to use the results of the analysis to plan the achievement of the company's goals
• Creating measures to manage risks and opportunities
• Solution of specific model examples
