Course objectives

The participants will get acquainted with the basics, content and philosophy of controlling. They will understand the difference between strategic and operational profit (basic strategies, differentiation, goals and tasks)  and cost controlling. They will learn methods, tools, techniques and basics of controlling indicators.

• Controlling as a system to support managerial decision-making, basic concepts, content and philosophy of controlling, decision-making tasks and decision-making process
• Kahneman decision theory, economic calculation (costs, revenues, economic results)
• The position and role of controlling in different business environments, bureaucratic and profitable environment, distinguishing features, feedback
• Strategic and operational controlling, basic strategies, differentiation, goals and tasks
• Organization of controlling activities
• Controlling methods, tools and techniques
• Organizational structure and monitoring of results, code lists of organizational units, statistical elements
• Enterprise information system, controlling module
• Balanced Scorecard (BSC)
• Operational controlling and monitoring activities
• Financial controlling, basic indicators and their importance, profit and cost controlling
• Controlling business processes and its connection to the logistics activities of the company
• Personnel controlling
