Course objectives

The objective of the course is to gain a general overview of LEAN methodology and techniques used. Participants will learn the LEAN terminology, the DMAIC methodology as well as lean mng. tools related to waste / MUDA reduction in processes. By using proven methods in practice, it is possible to increase productivity, reduce downtime and achieve customer satisfaction. During the course, practical examples of basic methods used in the field of LEAN Management will be presented.

• Introduction to LEAN Management
• Description and analysis of processes in terms of added value and identification of losses
• Snapshot of the day to determine the time consumption for each operation
• DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
• LEAN Management Tools: 5S, VOC, SMED, Poka Yoke, Kanban - Pull System, Best Practice
• Visualization such as error prevention, dashboard, KPI
• Regular problem solving directly in operation (during in-house trainings)
• Standardization of work procedures - determining the order of SOP actions
• KAIZEN philosophy
• 8 types of waste (TIMWOODI) 
• TO BE process mapping
• LEAN Management implementation procedure - critical factors and their analysis
• Practical exercises and demonstrations of the application of individual methods
