What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is an international standard for a Quality Management System (QMS). This norm establishes criteria for creating, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an effective QMS.

Purpose of ISO 9001

The purpose of ISO 9001 is to provide organizations with a framework they can adhere to, ensuring consistent fulfillment of customer requirements and enabling the enhancement of customer satisfaction. • Monitoring and measuring processes and products to ensure they meet specified requirements.
• Implementing a system for documentation and control of quality records.
• Establishing a process for continual improvement of the QMS effectiveness.
• Conducting regular internal audits and undergoing external audits by certification bodies to assess compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
