What is the Deming Cycle

This cycle was popularized by American statistician and quality management expert Dr. W. Edwards Deming, although the original concept is based on the work of Walter A. Shewhart. Phases of the Deming Cycle

Check:

• Evaluate results: Compare actual results with expected goals.
• Analyze deviations: Identify where results differ from expectations and understand the causes of these deviations.
• Feedback: Gather feedback from all stakeholders.

Act:

• Implement successful changes: If the plan is successful, expand it on a broader scale.
• Corrections and adjustments: If the plan did not achieve expected results, make necessary adjustments and start a new cycle with new insights.
• Standardization: Ensure that successful processes and procedures are standardized and maintained.
